BXF 7.0

Scheduled for release to production on 6/1/21

Extreme Reach will be upgrading from BXF 6.0 to 7.0 on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at around 9 AM ET. If you’re not currently validating BXF files, the upgrade should be transparent to you. If you’re validating BXF files, please be aware that this upgrade may impact your ability to ingest and process content from Extreme Reach.

Please note that this will affect BXF for spots and syndication as well as traffic instructions. The BXF 7.0 schema documentation can be found at https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/document/9001272

Telestream Vantage TrafficManager

If you're using Telestream Vantage TrafficManager you may be impacted by this change and may need to upgrade to a current Vantage release:

• If you use the “BXF Spot” Catch action for Extreme Reach spots you need to be on Vantage 8.0 UP3 or higher.
• If you use the “BXF” Catch for Extreme Reach syndication content you need to be on Vantage 8.0 UP4 or higher.
• If you use the “Extreme Reach” (ER) Catch action for spots you will not be impacted.

If you are current on Maintenance and Support, but would like Telestream to help upgrade your Traffic Manger system to the latest Vantage release please contact support@telestream.net
