The WFM2300 is a ruggedized portable tool for measurement and analysis in field applications.
Offering an array of video/audio monitoring tools and test signal generation, the wide range of physical interfaces allow quick connection to isolate, diagnose, and resolve system issues.
The WFM2300 is a powerful troubleshooting toolset for broadcast engineers and technicians whether in the field and or stationed at remote locations within a facility. The instruments provide a full range of Video, Audio, and Ancillary data measurements to verify performance or trace problems to root cause.
HighlightsThe WFM2300 comes complete with a full set of physical interfaces and measurement components to address a wide range of broadcast issues. The basic waveform functions can be easily augmented with a full suite of tools to perform measurements as diverse as evaluating physical layer margins on long SDI runs or providing a known ‘good signal’ to check AV delay or audio loudness.
HighlightsThe entire family of instruments have an identical interface and displays. The familiar controls and large 7" diagonal screen of the 2300 maximizes your time outdoors, on the bench, or near the rack. There’s even a replaceable battery that can be quickly swapped out to ensure optimum availability.

The WFM2300 can measure the synchronization of the SDI video signal and embedded or digital audio (AES/EBU) signal. The integrated video and audio test signal generator allows engineers to visualize AV delay throughout the entire signal path. In addition, propagation delay testing with the integrated signal generator helps minimize the system latency that is critical in live broadcast.
HighlightsThe integrity of cables and equipment can be measured by analysis of physical layer parameters. The automated measurement and Eye/Jitter displays available on the WFM2300, allows users to quickly create acceptance reports for their clients. The integrated stress loop adds an additional 20m of simulated cable to the signal path and provides further confidence on system margins to avoid the digital cliff and ensure the health of the signal.
HighlightsOnly a portable device such as the WFM2000 can quickly provide verification of signal integrity at various physical points along the signal path. Equally, issues with ancillary data such as closed captioning or audio quality are only possible through on the spot measurement. The WFM2000 series is in a class of its own as an invaluable tool to any facility in troubleshooting a variety of problem issues.
HighlightsWhen schedules are tight and pressures high at the start of a show, balancing of imagery in multi-camera environments is a critical facet of production setup. The capture feature in the WFM2300 provides a quick comparison of signal levels and color set up, to create a consistent look for every scene.
